FROM GUS

FROM PATRICE, S.A.V.E.

Here is a little update from Gus who is being fostered by Janet. Janet has already been a wonderful foster mommy to Smokey, who with Janet's tender loving care, blossomed from a shy cat to a friendly, affectionate cat who recently was adopted into a loving home. We are sure Gus will benefit from Janet's care and kindness and will be ready for adoption one of these days as well.

Hello:

I just wanted to send you a short note to let you know how I am doing in my foster home.

My days are spent playing, eating, resting and watching the human lady who takes care of me. I usually have a big breakfast to give me lots of energy for the rest of the day. Around noon time, I take a nice nap, usually on the couch. Early evening is when dinner is served, and if I have been a good boy all day, the human lady lets me have some catnip and play with all of the toys. I am starting to like it here and I am adjusting to the human lady. She seems nice. I do not let her pick me up yet, but I will sit close to her, especially when she is sleeping.

Thank you for rescuing me and giving me another chance at a happy life. I hope to see you soon and I will let you know when I am ready to move out of my foster home into a permanent home!

Love, Gus

Dear Sharon and Patrice:

Well, the time has come.....I am ready to be considered for adoption. I keep trying to play tricks on Janet so that she will think that I should stay with her longer, but she has caught on. I am ready to move into a loving home, preferably with another cat as my playmate and definitely with a window for me to look out of. I am not a lap cat, so I need to be adopted by someone who understands, and accepts, my independence. There is no need for you to rush to find me my new home because I really like living with Janet and her cats.......and I think they all like me too.

Thanks for everything.

Love, Gus

we love happy endings!
