HAPPY TAILS!
Stories from our Adoptive Parents

FROM PATRICE, S.A.V.E.
04-12-02

You remember Smokey (now Sophie). Janet in Manhattan had been her foster mommy, and under Janet's tender loving care, Smokey blossomed from a shy, hiding cat who was unadoptable like that, into a lovable happy adopted pet, who along with her brother Goober (also a S.A.V.E. rescued cat) is now living happily ever after.

We love happy adoptions!

FROM SOPHIE'S MOM (to Sophie's foster mom)
04-12-02

Hi Janet:

How nice to hear from you. In fact you must be somewhat psychic. I was just saying to Sophie this morning, "Sophie, I wish Janet could see this, she would be so amazed at you." Sophie has taken to following me just about everywhere including the bathroom where she lounges in the tub after I get out of the shower. In the morning when I go to wake Tom up, she follows me into the bedroom, jumps onto Tom and stands on him until he wakes up and pets her. When he is done, she lays next to me and purrs and just lets me pet her for as long as I care to.

She has become so mellow. No more running and hiding unless someone comes in that she does not know. She and Goober are the best of friends and they staked claim to every single windowsill in the house.

She is healthy and happy and thank goodness, acclimated. As far as we are concerned, she's the Queen and Goober is the King.

I hope that I have given you a good report. In the 7 months you had her, you obviously worked miracles and all the care and nurturing you gave her definitely shows. When I get some more pix, I will send them to you.

Thanx for asking about Sophie, Janet!

Take Care, Chris
